Garden defends Hub Lakes crown

Alexis Gardner continued to dominate the Hub Lakes Women’s Golf competition as she repeated as the individual champion in leading Rainbow Lakes to the team title. Playing the Club and Lake courses at Farmstead, Gardner went out in 39 and took 43 strokes on the back nine to finish with an 82.
Indian Lakes’ Peg Richards carded an 89 to finish second. Mountain Lakes’ Barbara Bertschy won the closet to the pin competition. Her tee shot on the ninth hole on the Lakes Course stopped 17 feet from the hole.

Cedar Lake, Hyatt card low scores in Hub Lakes Men's Golf tourney

Cedar Lakes, with three of its golfers placing among the top nine individuals, pulled away to win the 2005 Hub Lakes Mens' Golf Tournament at Farmstead by 21 strokes over runnerup Indian Lake. Fred Hyatt of Indian Lake captured individual honors when he toured the 18-hole course in 71 strokes, four better than Lake Intervale's Chris Ward who carded the second low round of 75.
Cedar Lake's Bill Peer produced the longest drive while Dave Gerhard of Estling Lake deposited his drive closest to the pin on a par-three hole.
