all four members carding 18-hole rounds between 78 and 90 at the Farmstead Golf and Country Club, Cedar Lakes successfully
defended its Hub Lakes Men's Golf Championship. Bill Peer and Frank Russo posted scores of 78 while Rick Everett
shot and 85 and Brian Blaber turned in a score of 90. |

was the second straight year that Cedar Lake accumulated the identical winning total of 331. Peer shot his second
consecutive 78 while Russo was the sole newcomer, replacing John Marconi from last year's title team. |
| Indian
Lake claimed the runnerup slot for a second straight year, improving on last year's 352 total by two strokes. Lake
Intervale, fourth in 2005, moved up to third place. |
| Indian Lake's Fred Hyatt uncorked a booming blast of 303
yards on the eighth hole of the Clubview Course to win the longest drive prize. Lake Telemark's Roger McKeon dropped
his tee shot on the par-3, ninth hold of the Lakeview Course, within 7 feet, 5 inches of the cup to pick up the
closest to the pin award. |

Lakes' Alexis Gardner and Indian Lake's Nancy McGavin shared the individual title in the 2006 Hub Lakes Women's
Golf Tournament contested Thursday morning at the Farmstead Golf and Country Club while Mountain Lakes claimed
the team title. Gardner and McGavin carded rounds of 83 over the Club and Lake courses while Mountain Lakes' Barbara
Bertschy and White Meadow Lakes' Jean Costello tied for third place when the turned in cards of 86. |
| Mountain
Lakes replaced Rainbow Lakes as team champion after Lakers finished second in 2005. Gardner continued to dominate
the Hub Lakes Women’s Golf competition as she three-peated as the individual champion after carding an 82 a year
ago. |
| Iris
Smith of Mountain Lakes picked up the closest to the pin prize when her tee shot on the ninth hole of the Lake
course stopped 7 feet, 1 inch from the cup. Capturing the closest to the line award was Costello whose drive off
the fourth tee on the Club course landed 2 feet, 10 inches from the line. |
